Finding the Right Copenhagen Hotels

Whether you are traveling to Copenhagen for a long trip or you are just interested in taking in the sights for a few days, you will discover that you need to look into what area you want to stay in. Copenhagen hotels are among the cleanest and most welcoming in the world and it can be hard to make the right decision. When you are thinking about where you want to stay in Copenhagen, you will find that you need to look at the city district by district. This can be a great way to decide where to stay and what hotels you want to look in to.

For instance, if you love the idea of staying in an area that is suffused in history, look into staying in Indre By. This area is considered Copenhagen's downtown and you will also find, as many tourists do, that it is the historical heart of Copenhagen. This is where you are going to have access to many beautiful historic buildings and churches and stepping into the streets can be like stepping backwards in time.

Another great area to visit in Copenhagen and to stay in as well is Nørrebro, which is very vibrant and full of life. If you are a student, you are sure to feel very comfortable in this area and it is also less expensive to stay in than Indre By. It is a very diverse area, and you will find that it is also occasionally called Little Arabia, in reference to the many Middle Eastern stores and groceries that are located there. The nightlife in this area is particularly lively, especially as you travel to the south.

North of the center, you will find Østerbro, which houses the Kastellet citadel as well as the famous Copenhagen statue of the Little Mermaid. It manages to blend both old and new with a combination of quite cobbled streets and fashionable shopping and this can be the perfect district to stay in if you are looking for something very quiet and homey.

The hotel that you choose may vary depending on when you want to visit Copenhagen. The best times to visit the city are between April and October, when the weather is clear and when the days are the longest. If you can handle the time away, consider visiting during the later part of August, when the tourists will have mostly cleared out and when it will still be sunny.

No matter when you visit or where you decide to stay, make sure that you look into booking your hotel in Copenhagen  in advance online. Not only is this going to be much more convenient for you, you will discover that you are in a great place to get the best rooms for the best prices!
